【Introduction】:On July 22, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 22 new cases of confirmed infections.
On July 22, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 22 new cases of confirmed infections (3 imported cases, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Shaanxi province; 19 indigenous cases, 18 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and 1 in Liaoning province), 3 new cases of suspected infections (2 imported cases in Shanghai and 1 indigenous case in Liaoning), and no deaths. 15 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 378 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 5.
As of 24:00 on July 22, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 2,023 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,947 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 76 confirmed cases (including 2 in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on July 22, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,729 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 78,855 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 240 confirmed cases (including 11 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases. 773,412 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 7,218 were still under medical observation.
On July 22, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 31 new asymptomatic cases (including 7 imported cases). 3 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 2 imported cases) and 16 cases became confirmed cases (all are indigenous cases). As of 24:00 on July 22, 176 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 89 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on July 22, 2,632 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 2,131 in Hong Kong (14 had died and 1,344 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 455 in Taiwan (7 had died and 440 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
