【Introduction】:More efforts will be made by the Guangzhou government this year to further promote the inbound tourism market

According to Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Tourism, more efforts will be made by the local government this year to further promote the inbound tourism market. Guangzhou, the birthplace of Maritime Silk Road, has a long history of 2200 years and was formerly a port city for maritime trade. Today, against the backdrop of "Beautiful China, 2015 - Year of Silk Road Tourism", the city will further strengthen its cooperation with major tourist cities along the Maritime Silk Road, and promote its image as an international tourism destination to attract more foreigners. Recently, the hotel industry has taken some actions for this goal.

This year, the Worldhotels Global Annual meeting will be held at the Guangzhou Garden Hotel, and will be attended by more than 300 hotel general managers and employees from 250 regions in 65 countries. According to the Garden Hotel, this is the first time for Guangzhou to host Worldhotels Annual Global meeting, a good opportunity to develop the inbound tourism market by promoting the Chinese culture and the local tourism industry.

Diverse styles of exhibition installations, varying from the Qing Dynasty to modern China, have been set out at the hotel lobby. In addition, the newly furnished modern ballroom of the hotel will also come in handy for guests, as it is a good venue for hosting receptions and banquets of all scales. Yao Zhaoran, the general manager of the Garden Hotel said, “over ninety percent of the guests attending the meeting are on their first visit to Guangzhou, and as the only Worldhotels member in Guangzhou, we will do everything in our power to make this trip more rewarding for the guests”.
