Chinese companies and enterprises are becoming more adept at overseas marketing and brand imaging, and are becoming better known in the West as their products and services go global.
Sanya tourism was chosen to receive the “China’s Top 15 Global Brands Award 2017,” which was jointly released by the professional service firm KPMG and Facebook. The Sanya brand was chosen for its outstanding performance in overseas marketing and promotion.
The rankings are compiled according to an analysis of the brand value of Chinese companies and enterprises in overseas marketplaces, partly based on data from Facebook.
As a strategic pivot point on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Sanya is making full use of policy advantages — the city is part of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative — to expand its footprint on the international stage. The Sanya Tourism Development Commission has opened social media accounts on twelve major overseas social networking and travel review platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and TripAdvisor to further promote the city in the international tourism market.
Sanya has been working to promote the recognition and reputation of its tourism brand in international markets, and to push its image as an international tropical seaside tourist destination. The Sanya Tourism Development Commission will continue to take proactive steps to leverage the strengths of new media channel marketing strategies to increase its international tourist destination appeal.
