【Introduction】:The 2017 World Tourism Cities Federation Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles from September 19 to 20.
The 2017 World Tourism Cities Federation Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles from September 19 to 20. The summit’s theme is “Impact of Globalization on World Tourism City Development”, and will consist of themed forums, Tourism Investment Fair, Tourism Trade Fair, Tourism Exhibition, and so on. This is the sixth Fragrant Hill Tourism Summit that WTCF has held since its foundation in 2012.
At present, registration for the summit has already begun, and mayors and deputy (or vice) mayors of Ottawa, Nice, Budapest, Marrakech, Thessaloniki, Punta del Este, Lima, and other cities are confirmed to attend the summit. Representatives of the UNWTO, the PATA and other international organizations will also be invited to attend the summit. Jeanie Buss, controlling owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers; Mr. Michael Dominguez, Chief Sales Officer of MGM Resorts International; and other Los Angeles VIP guests will also attend the summit and speak at the Panel Discussion.
One of the main attractions of the summit will be the themed forums. Tourism elites will have productive discussions and communicate on topics such as “Impact of Globalization on World Tourism City Development (theme of the summit), Solutions to Challenges Faced by Tourism Cities, Competitive Strengths and Brand Building of Tourism Cities, Policy Environment Promotes Tourism Investment, China’s Outbound Tourism: New Trend and Market Dynamics”, and so on.
The Fragrant Hills Summit is an important platform for WTCF to serve its members. Each year, during the summit, senior government figures of the world tourism cities, senior executive of tourism institutes, international tourism organization representatives, and representatives of other parties participate in the summit activities, share their tourism development experiences, discuss the popular topics on cities tourism development, and connect tourism cooperation projects. The Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit is gradually developing into a cooperation platform which collects the common views of different parties, strengthens mutual trust and communication, helps achieve practical cooperation, and renders win-win situations possible.
