The “Dresdner Schlössernacht” (Dresden’s Night of the Palaces) on 15 July, is the dazzling start to this year’s open-air arts season in the Saxon capital. The celebrations take place in and around the three “Elbe palaces”: Albrechtsberg Palace, Lingner Palace and Eckberg Palace. Once the residences of rich families, they are now cultural sites, restaurants, hotels and a winemaker’s residence open to the general public. At the “Dresdner Schlössernacht” their chambers and parks are transformed into concert halls and ballrooms. High up on the hills along the Elbe river, they offer a splendid view of the city: take a look at the interactive 360-degree tour and discover why the “Elbe palaces” are among Dresden’s most beautiful venues.
