The World Tourism Cities Federation Europe Tourism Conference 2018, with the Chinese and European tourism cities’ win-win cooperation as the keynote, is a grand action of cooperative development for the world’s tourism destinations.

On the afternoon of 11 December, the World Tourism Cities Federation Europe Tourism Conference, focusing on the conference theme of “China-Europe City Tourism Cooperation and Development”, held a forum, in which experts of WTCF’s expert committee, European city representatives, and tourism enterprise representatives concentrated on the discussion of the core concerns and trends in the current Chinese and European tourism destination cooperation including “European Tourism Cities and Chinese Outbound Tourism”, “Opportunities and Challenges for China-Europe Tourism Investment”, “New Hotspots and New Products in China-Europe Tourism Market” and so on. Two advocacies were reached:
Special Dialog of the Forum
Advocate to develop the village sightseeing tourism inheriting profound cultures and history of surrounding areas with cities as the tourism node and the leisure tourism featuring deep cultural integration, promote the development of the high-end tourism market with a variety of tourism methods and special tourism, drive the transformation of the single mode of mass tourism with high-end tourism and avoid excessive tourism in the city and make tourism play a greater role in promoting social and economic development through classifying the tourism and products; Advocate to adapt to the new mainstream groups and new tourism modes rapidly formed in China’s outbound tourism, adapt to the trend in which new social transmission methods are widely used, upgrade the connection between smart tourism public service platforms and product platforms and apply new information technologies and program modules to promote the participation of new mainstream groups in image publicity promotion and transmission of tourism destinations and inject new vigor into China-Europe tourism.
Venue of the Tourism & Investment Trade Fair
At the Tourism & Investment Trade Fair, held during the regional conference, more than 50 organizations with nearly 100 participants consisting of 12 tourism investment institutions and travel agencies from China as well as many enterprises of Seville were present. These organizations conducted 370 rounds of business negotiations, expanded cooperation channels, reached cooperation intentions, and formed pragmatic and effective results of cooperation.
This World Tourism Cities Federation Europe Tourism Conference showcased the development experience of tourism cities, boosted the communication and understanding of tourism cities, and strengthened the win-win cooperation between Chinese and European tourism cities, and institutions and media.
