【Introduction】:On Feb 22, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 648 new cases of confirmed infections, 882 new cases of suspected infections, and 97 deaths (96 in Hubei province and 1 in Guangdong province). 2,230 patients were released from hospitals after being cured. 22,128 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 509.

As of 24:00 on Feb 22, the National Health Commission had received 76,936 reports of confirmed cases and 2,442 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 22,888 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital (reduced by 1 by Anhui province after verification). There still remained 51,606 confirmed cases (including 10,968 in serious condition) and 4,148 suspected cases. So far, 628,517 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 106,089 are now under medical observation.
On Feb 22, Hubei reported 630 new cases of confirmed infections (including 541 in Wuhan), 631 new cases of suspected infections (including 454 in Wuhan), and 96 deaths (including 82 in Wuhan). 1,742 patients were released from hospitals after being cured, including 965 in Wuhan.
As of 24:00 on Feb 22, Hubei had reported 64,084 cases of confirmed infections (including 46,201 in Wuhan) and 2,346 deaths (including 1,856 in Wuhan). In all, 15,299 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 8,171 in Wuhan. There still remained 46,439 confirmed cases (including 36,174 in Wuhan), with 10,428 in serious condition (including 9,228 in Wuhan), and 3,363 suspected cases (including 2,382 in Wuhan).
As of 24:00 on Feb 22, 105 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 69 in Hong Kong (2 had been dead and 11 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 10 in Macao (6 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 26 in Taiwan (1 had been dead and 2 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
