New Year greetings around China

Chen Longyong shows his paper cutting work on December 29, 2013. Chen, who is in his 70's and is from Yancheng, Jiangsu province, has been making paper cuts for over 40 years. He recently created several horse-themed works to welcome the New Year, which is the Year of the Horse according to the Chinese zodiac calendar.

A rehearsal for a multimedia light show is staged at the 1933 Old Millfun building in Shanghai on Sunday. The show, part of New Year celebrations, will be presented on Tuesday night.
