Xinghai Park

Xinghai Park is located in the middle of Xinghaiwan, in the southern area of Dalian. There is a giant oddly shaped stone exposed above the water, called “Xingshi,” giving the park its name. Xinghai Park is a 19 square meters area, which is a large-scale seaside park with comprehensive functions, including watching sea views, beating heat, and beaches etc. The park faces the sea, its east side is rather flat, like a square; its west side is the sea with a few hills and fascinating views. It is an ideal tourism destination for local residents and tourists during summer.

There are some big rocks on the seaside of the park. The famous mermaid sculptures are built on the top the rock, which is recognized as the symbol of the Xinghai Park. Additionally, there are many other sculptures spread apart around the park, all of them special and distinctive.

On the west coast is a beach, opened to visitors. The seaside is full of small stones. The stone surfaces are smoothed from seawater rushing by it, causing erosion. When people step on them, they will feel like they are doing massage. The nearby office provides swim ring renting services. However, due to the massive flow of tourists, the beach has become filled with litter. So it is not recommended to swim here.

Boats and yacht services are offered in the west seaside. The price for boats is 40 RMB per hour, 50 RMB per 20-minute for yachts. During some festivals with big tourist flow volume, the price may be increased.

Tips:

1) Some entertaining items in the east side may be priced high so it is suggested to negotiate a suitable price. Furthermore, for some items, if you play multiple times, or play with many people at the same time, the price can be bargained.

2) The park is a tourism landscape; the prices for eating and drinking are high. Buying food and drinks before entering into the park is recommended.

3) The Xinghai Park is located in the tourism area near Sun Asia Oceanic World, Sun Asia Polar World, Xinghai Square and so on. Travellers can visit all the sights in a single trip.

Take No.22, 23, 28, 406, 528, 901 buses and get off at Xinghai Bathing Beach Station

Ticket price: Free for entering, entertaining items charge differently.

Opening hour: Whole day, 7:30-17:30 for entertaining services, the time can be longer in summer

Best visiting time: March to August. The best seasons to visit are spring and summer.
