【Introduction】:The former residence of the British Fortune Company was built in 1901. With the history of 114 years, it’s the only ancient architecture of Qing Dynasty with both Chinese and Western style in Jiaozuo.
The former residence of the British Fortune Company was built in 1901. With the history of 114 years, it’s the only ancient architecture of Qing Dynasty with both Chinese and Western style in Jiaozuo. The courtyard is 43 meters long from east to west and 28.7 meters wide from north to south. There are 60 existing ancient buildings with a total area of 768.96 square meters and a land area of 1231 square meters. The municipal party committee and the municipal government attached great importance to the protection work of money shop and repeatedly allocated special funds for maintenance. After the completion of the repair, the Municipal Cultural Relics Department opened the money house as a “Centennial Jiaozuo” exhibition hall. At present, the former residence of the British Fortune Company has become an important advertisement window and base for the development history of Jiaozuo'.
