Sihui Long-Distance Bus Station

Urban Transportation

The buses in the urban area utilize a segmented pricing system, adding 2 yuan every time, based on distance. You are recommended to purchase a public traffic card which offers large discount and is very convenient to use.

Public traffic card (IC card): According to Beijing government’s regulations, all passengers who use public traffic card can enjoy discounts for tickets. You can purchase it in subway stations and several bus transit hubs with a 20 yuan deposit.

Tourism Bus: Authentic Beijing tourism bus is only responsible for the round trip of tourists. It doesn’t provide tour guides, or tickets for scenic spots. You need to buy tickets and enter the scenic spots by yourself. At every site, the driver will tell visitors the return time, busses will not wait after the set time. Round-trip fare of tourism bus is about 40-80 /person (air-conditioned bus is slightly more expensive).

Car rental

For tourists who have enough money, it is not only very convenient and efficient, but also flexible to rent a car to go around Beijing. You can drive by yourself or choose driving service in Rental Company of Beijing.

Self-driving will be a great travel experience for tourists with driving experience. To local residents of Beijing and non-local residents, the documents required for self-driving rental are different.

Local residents of Beijing need to provide the following documents:

1. ID card; 2.Original household register; 3.Originaldriving license; 4.Original energy bill for any months of the recent three month in Beijing; 5.Your own credit card with a certain amount of deposit (depending on the specific model you rent)for collateral.

Non-local residents need a guarantee provided by a local resident, and to provide the following documents: 1. ID card; 2. original driving license; 3. your own credit card with a certain amount of deposit (depending on the specific model you rent) for collateral. 4.Originalhousehold register of the guarantor; 5.original energy bill for any month of the recent three months from the guarantor.

Cost: It ranges from 500yuan to several thousand yuan in the predetermined number of kilometers (generally 100-200km/day) and time(generally 8 hours/day), depending on the company, model and condition of the car.

Rental with a driver is relatively more expensive than self-driving rental, but you’ll feel more relaxed during your journey. The formalities are simple, and you don’t need to provide additional documents except your ID card.
