Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station has buses that go to many large and medium-sized cities of China. What's more, here you can take buses that head for the surrounding scenic spots. Many public buses can arrive at the Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station.

To Wulingyuan is about 1 hour drive, costing 5 yuan per person, start every 5 minutes; to Zhangjiajie Forest Park, start every 15 minutes; to Mengdong River is about 2 hours drive, costing 15 yuan per person; To Maoyan River, there are shuttle buses in front of Xianglong International Hotel in the morning.

The expressway from Zhangjiajie to Changde was officially opened on December 26th, 2005. With its opening, the trip from Zhangjiajie to Changsha has been shortened to only 3 hours. In addition, it only takes 8 hours drive from the Pearl River Delta (one of the largest sources of tourists to Zhangjiajie) to Zhangjiajie.

Changzhang Expressway is linked with Jingguang Expressway and Jingzhu Expressway, and also connected to Changchang Expressway, G207, G319 and S1801, as well as Shichang Railway, Jiaoliu Railway, Zhangjiajie Lotus International Airport, and Changde Taoyuan Airport. All of this provides the most convenient transportation system for tourists coming to Zhangjiajie from both home and abroad.
