Costa Group Asia will soon make available details of Costa Firenze’s routes from Singapore, as well as dates of its open sales.
According to the company, this could be as early as “in the coming weeks”.
Built by Fincantieri in Marghera, Italy, the new Costa Venezia celebrated its official float-out from Fincantieri shipyard on Nov 6, with a scheduled delivery of Sep 30, 2020.
The 135,500-tonnage ship with a capacity of over 5,200 guests, along with sister ship Costa Venezia, are the biggest ships introduced by Costa to the Asian market. They are part of an expansion plan that includes a total of seven ships being delivered to the Costa Group by 2023, for a total investment of over six billion euros.
“Costa Firenze is a further proof of Costa Cruises’ long-term commitment to the Asian market,” said Vanessa Li, vice president marketing, Costa Group Asia at the float-out ceremony.
“We aim to bring the beauty of the Italian lifestyle to Asian guests, offering them an authentic Italian vacation experience. Together with Costa Venezia, which is enjoying great success, the arrival of Costa Firenze will help boost the development of the Asian cruise industry."
Inspired by the city of Florence, Costa Firenze aims to offer an authentic Italian experience onboard across dining, entertaining, hospitality and interior design. There will also be innovations designed specifically for the Asian market, according to the company in a press release.
