“Smart Technology: Enriching Chongqing Tourism”

“SMART TECHNOLOGY: ENPOWERING ECONOMY, ENRICHING LIFE.” 2018 Smart China Expo (hereinafter referred to as SCE 2018) will be held in Chongqing on August 23-25. As the first SCE of all time, it will be held as “a professional event with the highest national standard and international audience” featuring various events such as conferences, exhibitions and contests.

Big data and smart technology have been widely used in the experience, management, service, marketing and other aspects in tourism industry. At present, smart tourism has just taken off in Chongqing, and it is urgent to raise the industry awareness and smooth the industrial channels.

Taking SCE as an opportunity, the “Chongqing Smart Tourism Development Seminar”, jointly hosted by Chongqing Daily, Chongqing Normal University and Jiangbei District People's Government, was held today under guidance from Chongqing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development.

The seminar invited more than 200 people from all walks of life, including tourism authorities, scenic spots, industry experts and enterprise representatives to sort out what is required for developing smart tourism in Chongqing, introduce advanced achievements and experiences at home and abroad, promote industry products and resources, and promote smart tourism’s to develop in a higher level.

Qin Dingbo, deputy director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and Zhou Yong, deputy head of Jiangbei District, Chongqing, delivered their speech at the seminar.

By downloading the “山城通” APP, entering WeChat official account or small program to complete the identification and multi-card binding virtual “一卡通”(One card pass), users can fully experience smart tourism before, during and after travel.
