“UNDER THE CROWNS OF THE SYCAMORE TREES”

“Under the crowns of the sycamore trees” is a cultural and artistic event that is organised by the Tourist Organisation of Belgrade in Topcider Park every year. The first edition of this year’s event will take place on Thursday, 12th July, as part of the “Peter’s day Parliament” manifestation.

Visitors will be acquainted with the Serbian history of the time of Milos Obrenovic, in front of the Residence of Prince Milos, from 12:00 to 13:00, through an artistic and entertaining form, performed by our esteemed and well-known actors. The program will be enriched by the performance of the “Talija” Art Company.

This year, the Tourist Organisation of Belgrade has prepared a free tram ride as well. The “Tram called Belgrade” will be driving from St. Mark’s church in the Tasmajdan Park all the way to Topcider Park. During their ride on this tram, visitors will have an opportunity to hear the interesting account of the history, culture and the attractions our city has to offer, all voiced by a professional tourist guide.

The tram will begin its ride at 11:00 from the tram turnabout, in front of St. Mark’s church in Tasmajdan Park. The return is organised for 14:00. Due to a limited number of places available in the tram (20 sitting, 70 standing) applications are required prior. To do so, please email tjovancevic@tob.rs.

After the “Under the crowns of the sycamore trees” event, the Municipal Assembly and Tourist Organisation of Savski venac have prepared the “Peter’s day Parliament” manifestation. As part of the manifestation, visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy the musical stylings of the “Garavi sokak” band in the evening.
