【Introduction】:The 2020 Annual Conference of International Mountain Tourism Alliance was held in Guiyang, China on November 18th, 2020.
The 2020 Annual Conference of International Mountain Tourism Alliance was held in Guiyang, China on November 18th, 2020. The conference was sponsored by International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) and supported by other international institutions and well-known associations at home and abroad, such as the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), the Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF), the World Tourism Alliance, the ASEAN-China Centre and the World Historical and Cultural Canal Cities Cooperative Organization (WCCO).
With the theme of "The Developmental Course of Mountain Tourism in the Post-COVID World", the conference invited nearly 300 participants consisting of representatives from member units of international tourism organizations, IMTA, experts and scholars in the industry. On the basis of the theme, they conducted in-depth discussions about recovering alpine tourism and revitalizing the tourism sector in the post-pandemic era through online and offline methods, boosting the certitude of the global industry.
During the opening ceremony, Li Baochun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of WTCF, and Fu Yingchun, Executive Secretary-General of IMTA, officially signed a strategic cooperative agreement which could deepen collaboration, complement each other's resources and jointly create a promising future for world tourism.
Li Baochun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of WTCF, Shao Qiwei, Vice Chairman of IMTA, He Yafei, Secretary-General of IMTA and leaders of Guizhou Province attended the Photography Exhibition of "The Dialogue between Guizhou Mountain Tourism and Other Global Mountains" and opened the Mountain Tourism and Culture Exhibition.
