Zhonghua Road is a famous historical street, located in Qinhuai and Baixia districts of Nanjing city.
It goes south to the Zhenhuai Bridge on the inner Qinhuai River of the Zhonghua Gate (previously named Treasure Gathering Door) and north to the Inner Bridge to be linked with Hongwu Road, as well as linking with Baixia Road.
From north down to the south, Zhonghua Road intersects with many important streets such as Jiankang Road, Shengzhou Road and Changle Road.
Zhonghua Road is an important commercial street in the south area of Nanjing, as well as one of the model streets in “the National Campaign of No Fake Goods”.
It is bordered to the east is the prosperous Confucius Temple Commercial Circle and to the south is the renowned Zhonghua Gate Castle, facing the Xinjiekou Commercial Circle only one street away. Obviously, it has its location advantages in Nanjing South Railway Station, Long-Distance Bus Station, Zhongshan South Terminal nearby and Ring Road connecting counties and other provinces. Transportation is thus very convenient.
After unified planning and renovation in recent years, the Zhonghua Road has become a commercial street of over 1,100 meters with its architectures reflecting the unique style of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1644-1911).
The commercial property totals a floor area of over 80,000 square meters, of which the underlying area is just over 20,000 square meters. With the completion of the "three Mountains Garden City" before this autumn and the “Zhanyuan Shopping Mall” (under construction now), the commercial facilities and medium and high-end office space along the Zhonghua Road will reach 100,000 square meters.
