Qiansheng Farm is located at the ecological gallery end of Guli Street, Hengxi Town, in the southern suburbs of Nanjing. It is adjacent to Niushou Mountain, about 20 kilometers from Nanjing downtown . Covering an area of 2,400 mu, Qiansheng Farm is rich in natural scenic resources. Inside the area, there is beautiful countryside landscape made up of rolling hills and interwoven farmlands, streams and pools. Also, there is a Big Moon Lake covering an area of 480 mu as well as orchards and nurseries covering an area of more than 200 mu.

Qiansheng Farm is a large-scale metropolis comprehensive agricultural tourism area with beautiful sightseeing, and a mixture of leisure, agriculture experiencing, science training and healthy entertainment. In 2006, this scenic spot was approved as a “National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site” and the national AA tourism attraction by the National Tourism Administration. Also, it gained the title of “Ecological Farm of Nanjing City”.

The best season to visit:

As the saying goes, “Niushou Mountain in spring, fields and gardens in summer, hot spring in winter”. Every year the “fun in the countryside day” (Hengxi Watermelon Day) in Jiangning county is held at the end of spring and the beginning of summer.

Spring, summer and autumn are the best seasons to travel to Qiansheng Farm. You can go to the “Homely Little Garden” to confirm a piece of land and try being a “landowner”.

You can go to the “Kids’ Maze” and the “Monster House” to enjoy the fun as if you were kids. You can go fishing at the pools beside the interwoven paddy fields and check in to a log cabin in the “Eastern Fence Rural Houses” built in the Russian style. The “Happy Native Place” on the farm is surrounded by mountains.

You can fish, barbecue or pick fruits in the orchard there. Or you can go to the bamboo-structured farmhouse restaurant “Tasty Guli” to have a taste of all the farmhouse dishes.

If you want to cultivate your taste, then the fishpond covering hundreds of mu must be a good choice. You can taste the chicken, duck, fish and fresh vegetables produced by the farm at any time of the year in the farmhouse restaurant.

Traffic directions:

Start from Nanjing: Take the No 88 bus and get off at Dadingfang, and transfer to a local vehicle to Guli.

Start from the East Mountain: Take the Jingu line (Jinbao Market- Guli) and get off at Qiansheng Farm

Self-driving Line: Yuhuatai - Andan Road - turn right at Dongshan Bridge Railway - turn left at Dongzhou Road - Qiansheng Farm
