As a mountain famous for its culture in China, Zhongshan Mountain enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad thanks to its desirable natural ecology and rich cultural relics. Located in the east of Nanjing, Zhongshan has been reputed as “an imperial mountain in Jinling” and “a strategically-important mountain” since ancient times. Almost all major historical changes and developments of Nanjing in such aspects as politics, economy, military affairs and culture have left behind clear marks in Zhongshan Mountain.
