ITINERARY DESCRIPTION
Milan and Fashion are an inseparable duo in the international eye.
An all-inclusive fashion and style itinerary could start off at the Fondazione Prada in Via Fogazzaro then, strolling along Corso di Porta Venezia, we can enter into the heart of the fashion district: Via della Spiga is the point of entry onto the Milanese fashion stage.
For label lovers the famous "quadrangle" bordered by Via della Spiga, Via Montenapoleone, Via Manzoni and the beginning of Corso Venezia offers an exclusive selection of the most iconic labels, the historic "maison" that have turned Made in Italy into a coveted brand. The quadrilateral encompasses elegant and prestigious streets such as Via Borgospesso, Via Santo Spirito, Via Gesù, Via Sant’Andrea and Via Bagutta.
In addition to Via Montenapoleone, another requisite stop-off for luxury shopping is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II from which, escorted by the allure of glittering shop windows, we reach the nearby spectacular "La Rinascente" building.
Via Torino south of Piazza Duomo is a ‘must’ shopping experience suitable for every budget and from there you can then head towards the "Teatro Armani” in via Bergognone and, subsequently, Corso Buenos Aires, the shopping street which extends from Porta Venezia to Piazzale Loreto with hundreds of shops to suit all tastes.
Absolutely not-to-be-missed is the twice-yearly Milan Fashion Week where designers present their new ranges for the forthcoming seasons and the city buzzes with collections, models, catwalk shows and all the related style events. It is interesting to know that the fashion week in Milan, founded in 1958, is part of the "Big Four" circuit, the four major events that take place in the fashion capitals. The other three "Big Four" fashion weeks are those in New York, London and Paris.
