Partisan Belarus

The World War II was especially hard for Belarus - every forth citizen was killed. Underground and partisan movement was extremely vast, but it was not reflected in Minsk's sculpture. In 2005 near Mogiliovskaya metro station at the cross road of Eliseiskaya street and Partisan prospect a great 21 meters column of granite and bronze "Partisan Belarus" was built up. The Partisan family composition sculpture is on the top of the monument. The author of this monument is Valentin Zankovich.
