Laid out both inside and outside the Triennale Museum – 7000 square meters between the building and the garden –it is the only Expo 2015 pavilion in the city. The exhibition can be visited with an Expo ticket and a visit to La Triennale is included.
All media and languages are present: from painting to sculpture, from videos to displays. From photography to advertising, from design to architecture, from cinema to music to literature. It develops in chronological order and covers the span from 1851 – the year of the first Expo in London and of the beginning of modernity – to the present.
This is carried out through the creation of settings dedicated to the places and spaces of convivial meetings, both private and public – from the dining room to the kitchen, from bars to packed food – where furniture, objects, household appliances and works of art create a highly impactful narrative from both a visual and a sensory point of view.
