MI-TO FESTIVAL - SEPTEMBER 2015

The MI-TO music festival, held every year in the cities of Milan and Turin during the month of September is now part of a limited number of essential must-attend musical events, thanks to its international renown, to the high quality of its musicians and to the prowess of the two cities in attracting the best of international contemporary performers.

This year’s edition highlights again the artistic value of the events, suited to an international audience whose numbers will certainly increase because of the “Expo effect”. Classical, jazz, electronic, ethnic, concerts for children, meetings throughout the city ….. it is impossible to list all the musical opportunities and events on show. In order to help, a new app for smartphones and tablets has been created in three languages (Italian, English and Chinese).

The opening of this ninth edition will be on September 5 at 9 P.M. at the La Scala opera theatre. The Saint Petersburg Philarmonic Orchestra, conducted by Yuri Temirkanov, will perform symphonies by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (“Italian”) and Anton Bruckner (“Romantic”).
