Activities: June 24th of every year is the festival where residents of Catalonia region greet the arrival of summer. The night of June 23rd is called “La Nit del Foc” (fireworks night). At that time, people will set off fireworks on the shore, and hold a great bonfire party. Traditionally, bonfires are built from unwanted household items collected during summer house cleaning, and locals will jump over or around them, which is said to cleanse the body and soul.
