The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is part of the Edinburgh International Festival, takes place every August for three weeks in Scotland’s capital city, dating back to 1947 and since then attracted tremendous performance groups to participate in. At that time the success of the Edinburgh International Festival made every artist in the world want to participate in the festival while only famous artist were allowed to, so that 8 performance group were not arranged performance venue. Therefore they organized their own performance venue against the official performace which at first time started the The Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Now The Edinburgh Festival Fringe has become the world largest commoner art festival and as long as you have creativity you can performance in the festival even you are just a student.
The most THRILLED: Qingdao International Beer Festival

The Qingdao International Beer Festival first organized in 1991 and became the annual 14days festival on the second weekend of August which is the golden travel season of Qingdao. Three of the four venues of the festival has opened and you can drink the beer, eat the delicious food and watch the show with the shining lights make you feel high during the August. The main venue of Huangdao will perform the first large show with outdoor scene of Qingdao named Dream build Langya and the Expo Garden venue has the water dance show of international level. Glamourous Qingdao has started her Beer Carnival mode and lets cheers with Qingdao!
The most TRADITIONAL : Hamburger DOM "Dommarkt"

The Hamburger Dom is the biggest public festival in the north of Germany. Three times a year you can experience fun, nostalgia and thrills. The term originated from a collection of merchants, craftsmen and jugglers who, after some friction, were granted the right to reside in St. Mary's Cathedral in "foul weather" in 1337. By the end of the 19th century, the showmen found their "new home" on Heiligengeistfeld.
The most BEAUTIFUL: Flower Carpet Festival in Brussels
Date: every two years in August
Capitalizing on the color diversity of the beautiful begonia and its historic commercial cultivation in Belgium, Brussels has created a spectacular festival of flowers that draws visitors from around the world every two years. In 2016, Brussels will be in bloom from the evening of August 12 through 15 with a packed schedule of events for all ages. There are three light and music shows nightly, as well as fireworks for the opening ceremonies on the evening of August 11. The theme of a particular carpet is chosen more than a year in advance, usually based on commemoration of great events, or the arms and shield of a town. The careful development of a scale model allows for calculation of the number of flowers and color combinations.

The Notting Hill Carnival is the largest street festival in Europe and originated in 1964 as a way for Afro-Caribbean communities to celebrate their own cultures and traditions. Taking place every August Bank Holiday weekend in the streets of London W11, the Notting Hill Carnival is an amazing array of sounds, colourful sights and social solidarity
The most LIVELY: Sapporo Summer Festival
Date: July 20 to Aug 17
The Summer Festival, now in its 61st year, is a summer tradition in Sapporo that lasts a whole month. For around a month starting early July, beer gardens are set up in and around Odori Park! The Summer Festival closes with a Bon festival dance as summer in Sapporo reaches its height. The Toyohiragawa Fireworks Festival in late July is another popular attraction.

EastSide Arts Festival is an annual festival showcasing the talent of East Belfast as it serves up a sizzling feast of events.
