The year-end festival is coming, and the Sixth “Illuminate SF Festival of Light” has arrived as expected. The light festival will feature 37 extremely creative environment-friendly light art installations and 17 communities, and more than 30 artists will be joining the festival. An assortment of related of cultural and artistic activities will be launched one by one, and many art installations will be open to the public for free. The event will last from the Thanksgiving of 2018 to the early days of January, 2019. If you are in sincere love of artworks, you might as well come and enjoy the light shows of the artists who enjoy a good reputation from home and abroad, and get impressed by the light magic of San Francisco.

In the long nights of winter, the “Illuminate SF Festival of Light” allows everyone to have a tour of the neon lamps as well as the opportunity of communicating with the artists. Activities include free guide tours, dialogues with artists, and participatory experiences. Let the festival’s newest, permanent exhibits and temporary installations shine.

All the artworks of the festival will be scattered all over the 17 blocks of San Francisco. Perfectly combining with San Francisco’s world-class museums, art performances and restaurants, the festival will turn the black nights into a dazzling light adventure. By that time, tourists will be able to appreciate the wonderful light art shows in every community, including Embarcadero, North Beach, Civic Center, Central Market, the Inner Sunset, South of Market, Potrero, Mission Bay, Bayview, Golden Gate Park, Hayes Valley, South Beach, the Castro, the Mission District, San Francisco International Airport and so on.
