【Introduction】:In 1996, the Festtage Berlin, which was planned by musician Daniel Barenboim, was held for the first time. Since then, the Festtage Berlin has been like magnets attracting domestic and international classical music and opera lovers to Berlin during the Easter of each year.

Since then, the Festtage Berlin has been like magnets attracting domestic and international classical music and opera lovers to Berlin during the Easter of each year. The festival features outstanding musicals, concerts, and a unique artistic event atmosphere.

There is no exception in 2019. Two comedies, Wagner’s The Master-Singers of Nuremberg and Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev’s love drama Betrothal in a Monastery, from the 19th and 20th century will become the spotlight. Daniel Barenboim will serve as the conductor and piano performer to add splendor to the festival. As an outstanding guest choir, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No.1 and Prokofiev’s symphony classics. Anna Netrebko and the Staatskapelle Berlin will join hands to perform the opera Quattro pezzi sacri. The newly established children's orchestra will make its debut with Prokofiev’s Peter & the Wolf.
