【Introduction】:The ceremony for the World Tourism Cities Expo officially kicked off at the Wangfujing Pedestrian Street.

The ceremony for the World Tourism Cities Expo officially kicked off at the Wangfujing Pedestrian Street.

The number one business street in Beijing, which is the Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, was teeming with city goers on the afternoon of September 14th 2012. Authorities of Beijing’s municipal government, both locally and abroad, attended the activity. Wang Anshun, the acting mayor of Beijing and the first chairperson of the World Tourism Cities Federation was also in attendance.

After the opening ceremony, several Mayors of the member cities as well as other members of the Federation introduced their prospective plans for the exhibition.

The expo is expected to last for three days.

City goers can expect to find the sale of clothing and other related tourism products on hand.

One can also find characteristic performances and numerous souvenirs.

There will also be raffles that are drawn, which will garner special prizes including favorable travel awards.

The World Tourism Cities Federation was first initiated by Beijing’s municipal government. It is sponsored in part by other companies and is a nonprofit international NGO that consists of cities from all over the world.
