The 285-meter-long bridge crosses four beast areas inhabited by lions, tigers, bears and wolves, allowing travelers to watch over 100 animals including Panthera leo, Panthera tigris altaica, Ursus thibetanus, European Black Bear, Ursus arctos pruinosus and wolf.
According to deputy director of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Wild Zoo, compared with sightseeing buses, the trestle bridge offers more comprehensive viewing ways and angles to travelers and save travelers from queuing up for a long time.
Situated in Xining of Qinghai Province, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Wild Zoo is 2,261 meters above the sea level. As the largest wild zoon all over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it has over 3,000 “permanent” animals from over 200 kinds. China’s sole breeding base for snow leopards lies in the zoo.
