What Digital Features Will Hilton Roll Out Next?

Hilton Worldwide's Digital Key is changing the way HHonors members access their room and will be available at 700-plus properties across Hilton's portfolio by the end of the year.

But while Digital Key continues to expand, the McLean, Virginia-based hotel giant is looking ahead to some exciting new features. Perhaps none more beneficial than an in-app real-time chat feature that will allow Hilton's HHonors members to interact with front desk staff from their device.

Users can request housekeeping visits and late check-out as well as make reservations at the hotel restaurant.

Members will be able to chat with the front desk team members at their hotel as early as one day before check-in and up to a week after their stay.

Soon, Hilton HHonors member guests will also have the power to mark their favorite rooms.

Pin My Room is set to launch later this year and will allow Hilton HHonors members to pinpoint their favorite room in a particular hotel so they can book it the next time they return. The next time they stay a prompt will ask them if they want to select a pinned room.

In addition to the Pin My Room feature, Hilton will overhaul the Hilton HHonors app later this year. The app redesign will include bringing it to the iPad with full iOS compatibility.

The introduction of push notifications will also help simplify travel for members.

Rolling out early next year, Multi-Key will expand on Hilton's popular Digital Key feature, allowing loyalty program members to request multiple Digital Keys for a single room. What's more, the various keys can be accessed on multiple devices, making the feature ideal for traveling families or groups.

Only one member is required to access the Multi-Key feature, meaning you won't be forced to enroll the entire family or group to take advantage.

Given the immense success of Hilton's digital check-in and Digital Key in such a short period of time, all indications are that HHonors members are going to embrace the company's next wave of digital features.
