Spain Tops the Chart as the Best Country to Visit

The Mediterranean destination has been ranked at the top of a list of 136 countries, with the UK in 5th place as per the study revolves around everything from price competitiveness to security and hygiene. Every two years, the World Economic Forum’s Travel and Tourism report is released.

Various factors like business environment, safety and security, health and hygiene, price competitiveness, international openness, tourist service, transport infrastructure and natural resources are taken into consideration while ranking the countries.

Not to forget that Spain has topped the rankings for the second consecutive time, followed by France, Germany, Japan and Britain. Top ten countries are like United States, down two places from number 4 followed by Australia, Italy, Canada and Switzerland respectively.

Europe tops the chart once again as the region that is most attractive to tourists. Six of the 10 most competitive countries are highlighted in the study. It attracted 620 million of the 1.2 billion international visitors who travelled the globe in 2016.
