North East England Tourism Awards is Now Open for Applications

Interested candidates can apply as applications are now open for the North East England Tourism Awards. Hotels, pubs, restaurants and attractions are all being requested to participate in the award show.

The event showcases the best feature of the industry. It highlights what the North East has in store for the visitors and giving winners a chance to compete on a national stage at VisitEngland's Awards for Excellence.

The North East England Tourism Awards is free to enter show. It's organized and delivered by NewcastleGateshead Initiative in collaboration with other members of the Northern Tourism Alliance and local authorities across the region.

All submissions close at 4pm on Friday, September 1. The glittering awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at The Boiler Shop in partnership with Crowne Plaza Newcastle, Stephenson Quarter.

To quote Sarah Stewart, chief executive of NewcastleGateshead Initiative, said: ‘The North East England Tourism Awards showcase the very best in the region, celebrating the success of our thriving tourism sector and accelerating them onto a national stage. The Awards also reinforce the importance of the tourism industry as a key part of the continued success of the North East – contributing £4bn annually into the local economy and supporting over 55,000 jobs.'
