From January till June of this year, almost a quarter-million international visitors poured into the Apple Isles spending almost a record-breaking $457 million. This figure is 24% more over the financial year of 2016.
There are few countries in the world who have added Tasmania in their bucket list of must-see attractions. The USA and China visitors made huge contributions, along with increasing 28% and 30% visitor number respectively. On the other hand, visitors from Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore, and Japan also represented a considerable portion of the total visitors.

In the 2016-2017 financial years, roughly 253,000 overseas visitors had vacationed in Tasmania Island and it appeared that they were majorly attracted by the breathtaking beauty of the nature. The three most well-liked were:
Tasman Peninsula – Witnessed almost 98,000 visitors. With its exotic wildlife, sea caves, waterfalls, and soaring cliffs, along with close proximity to Hobart and Port Arthur, the Tasman Peninsula is hard to miss opportunity for any nature lover.
Cradle Mountain – 87,000 meters high above the sea level. One of the amazing hiking and road trip spots in the world, Cradle Mountain can be easily accessed by adventure lovers.
Freycinet National Park – 81,000 meters above the sea level. A picturesque spot with a leisurely side, the park is ideal for bushwalking than hiking.
