Aman has unveiled plans to open three resorts in Saudi Arabia's Al Ula governorate. The properties are scheduled to open by 2023.
Spanning roughly 8,700 square miles, Al Ula is best known for its archaeological landmarks. Among the area's most famous draws is the ancient city of Hegra, which dates back to the 2nd century BC and is a Unesco World Heritage site.
Aman's Al Ula project will comprise a tented camp, a resort located in proximity to several of the governorate's cultural heritage areas and a "ranch-style desert resort."
The three developments will adhere to eco-tourism standards set by the Royal Commission for Al Ula preservation group.
