Paris Plages

For a month, the famous Paris Plages takes over three locations: the riverbank at Voie Georges Pompidou, the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville, and the canal side area in the Park de la Villette. Beside the Seine, tons of sand will be spread out for the sunbathers and sandcastle-builders to enjoy. Lots of activities are on offer for beach-lovers of all ages, from water sports to martial arts lessons, petanque games, table football and so on.

During the Paris Plage period, the Fnac Live music festival takes place in front of the Hôtel de Ville. On the program, thousands of spectators can enjoy live concerts from around 30 musicians, at this free, open air event. The festival has previously featured Charlie Winston, Gregory Porter, Jeanne Cherhal and Glass Animals, among others, on the line up.
