Jingpo Lake Winter Fishing Festival

Winter fishing in Jingpo Lake can be tracked to China’s Liao and Jin Dynasties. With high quality water, Jiangpo Lake was the perfect place to harbor abundant aquatic wildlife, including more than 60 kinds of fishes. The location of the winter fishing is on the south lake, and a sacrificial ceremony is always held before the fishing. The big net used for fishing can be as long as 800 meters and catch numerous fish, while fisherman nearby chant loudly and happily.
