China Mt Yuntai International Mountaineering Challenge

China Mt Yuntai International Mountaineering Challenge is co-hosted by the Mountaineering Management Center of China’s General Administration of Sports, Chinese Mountaineering Association, Henan Sports Bureau, Henan Tourism Bureau, and Jiaozuo Municipal Government. And it is organized by Jiaozuo Sports Bureau, Jiaozuo Tourism Bureau, Xiuwu County Government, and Yuntai Scenic Spot.

This mountaineering event takes place every year among different groups like professional youths (18 to 45 years old), professional middle-aged participants (46 to 60 years old) and amateurs, with the race distances of 24 kilometers (about 1,600 stairs), 9.9 kilometers ( about 6,700 stairs) and 4.9 kilometers (about 5,900 stairs) respectively. The participants amount to 2,000, of whom over 600 are amateurs.

To make the event more exciting, some scenic spots of Mt. Yuntai like Bajia Rock, Wanshan Temple, and Zhuyu Peak are designed as the challenge’s courses. Therefore, the mountaineers can appreciate the beautiful sceneries and unique charms of Mt Yuntai during the challenge.
