Under the circumstance of globalization, people’s nostalgia to history and desperate pursuit for the ancient folk custom makes the traditional culture become the foundation to show the characteristics of tourism product, i.e. the national feature, local feature, and personality feature. And it’s for the profound history and typical traditional style of the Dragon Boat Festival in Jiangcun Village in Xixi River that it gets more and more attention.

As an authentic traditional folk activity, the Dragon Boat Race has always kept its spontaneity. Therefore, being a spontaneous folk activity, the race attaches great importance to not the ranking but the participation, not the speed but the design and style.

Hundreds of dragon boats gather in the Shentankou, and almost all the people turn out to celebrate the festival. It’s indeed worthy of the title “Event of Dragon Boat”.
