Chee Cheong Fun

Chee Cheong Fun (steamed rice rolls) is a commonly known snack in many places, but Penang Chee Cheong Fun differs from the dish in other places. The specialty of Chee Cheong Fun is because of its “shrimp paste,” which is made through pickling by adding shrimp sauce and salt. In Penang, once the rice rolls are steamed, they are rolled into long strips. Chop the rice noodles into smaller strips, pour shrimp paste, chili sauce, and sweet sauce on them, and finally sprinkle fried sesame on top. Now what is left is eating.
