Situated on the ancient Dunne Bierkade road, The Hague Outdoor Museum is a place where the once-prestigious artists in Dutch Golden Age used to live.
The museum has a variety of interesting real-life scenarios and is ideal for families with children. The three most important themes of the museum are: Dutch masters of the 19th century, Dutch painters, the Hague royal family and the old harbor area. Let me introduce you to the artists who lived here once:

Dunne Bierkade has spawned many artists over the past few centuries, such as famous painters we mentioned before. In the 19th century, this street became the habitat of the Romantic School and The Hague School.
Between 1860 and 1890, a group of artists at The Hague School worked and lived here. They were characterized by the use of dark colors on the canvas, also known as the Gray School.

The high-profile artist Van Gogh also lived here. He originally worked as an art dealer in a small courtyard nearby. In the home of Janvan Goyen, there is the “neighborhood exhibition” of the greatest artists of the 19th century, which aims to show the relationship between the artist's life, painting and the neighborhood.
Theme: Dutch Golden Age
The theme of this year's top priority is the Golden Age, and the entire event continues from February 8, 2019 to February 8, 2020. The Hague played an important role in the golden age of the Netherlands. It is the center of rights and politics, and the cradle of art and technology.
The Hague Outdoor Museum will provide lectures, food tasting events, exhibitions and interesting workshops during this period, bringing you into the Golden Age of the Dutch heyday. In addition, there are outdoor guided tours, boat trips, and a guided Bike Tour. It is important to note that team activities must be more than 8 people!
