Pinggu District of Beijing, Jizhou District of Tianjin, Xinglong County of Hebei Province recently signed the Joint Inspections Agreement of Great Wall Law Enforcement in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei.

According to the Agreement, law enforcement officers will conduct joint inspections of the Great Wall, surrounding illegal constructions, and damages to historical and environmental scenes. The three parties are required to designate specific contacts, establish working communication hotlines and WeChat Groups. Problems and clues should be reported in a timely manner once detected.

Near the Three-border Stone, a special Great Wall boundary marker near the Great Wall of Xiaoguanmen village in Liudaohe town of Xinglong County, two sections of Great Wall built in the Northern Qi Dynasty and a ridge separate Pingu district of Beijing, Jizhou district of Tianjin, and Xinglong county of Chengde, Hebei. What is also divided is the embarrassing position of the protection of the Great Wall near the provincial and municipal boundaries.

This is said to be a Great Wall law enforcement pilot project initiated by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, which will possibly be promoted across the country in the future.
