Before traveling to Spain, you’d better to exchange enough Euros ahead of time. If in Barcelona, you can choose La Caixa or Caixa Catalunya to swap.

UnionPay Cash Withdrawal:

UnionPay cards can be used for direct withdrawal of euro cash in all banks subordinate to Euro6000 network, or the ATM of Citibank in Spain by deducting corresponding RMB according to the posted exchange rate of the Bank of China in that day. La Caixa has more than 8,000 sets of ATM in the whole territory of Spain. It is the bank that has most ATM terminals in Spain. Each ATM shows UnionPay logo on the screen with Chinese menu for your alternative.

Credit card:

Visa and MasterCard are universal, but UnionPay is less common.
