Sevilla’s currency system uses euros (€). Coins are in denominations of 1 cent, 2 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 euro and 2 euros. Notes are in denominations of 5 euros, 10 euros, 20 euros, 50 euros, 100 euros, 200 euros and 500 euros.
You can exchange currencies or traveler’s checks within office hours of banks (open between 8:00 and 14:00 from Monday to Saturday, closed on Saturdays from June to September). Some banks may serve you providing that you’ve opened an account. There are few currency-exchange booths which can only be found in some popular attractions and airports. Otherwise, you can exchange foreign currencies in most hotels and travel agencies.
