Parque del Buen Retiro

The Parque del Buen Retiro is named Buen Retiro Park in English, and is the largest park in the center of Madrid, Spain. This was once a permanent residence of the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century, when it became a public park, which covers an area of 1.4 km2 (140 acres), located at the edge of the city center, very close to the Puerta de Alcalá and not far from the Prado Museum. This park is filled with beautiful sculptures and monuments, long corridors, a peaceful lake, a rose garden, and a crystal palace.
