Chenjiagou is the birthplace of Chinese Taiji Quan (Chinese Shadowboxing) which is among the first batch of national intangible cultural heritages. It was named “the birthplace of Chinese martial arts Tai Chi and Chinese Tai Chi culture research base” by Chinese Wushu Association and Civil Society. In the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dyansty, Taiji Quan was created by Cheng Wangting, a local in Chenjiagou of Wenxian County. After more than 300 years, TaiChi has evolved into Chen, Yang, Wu, Sun, He, and many other genres. Tai Chi has spread in more than 150 countries and regions, and there are more than 300 million practitioners. The main scenic spots of Chenjiagou include Tai Chi Ancestral Shrine, Tai Chi Museum, Yang Luchan School, and Chinese Tai Chi Cultural Park.
