Baofeng Lake

The main attractions of Baofeng Lake are BaoFeng Lake and Yingwozhai. Moreover, Baofeng Lake, Qifeng Waterfall, Yingwozhai, and A Thread of Skyare called "Four Wonders of Wulingyuan". Therefore, BaoFeng Lake is a boutique scenic spot in Wulingyuan.

This is a natural attraction, and recommended for a visit if you like taking photos. It’s 72 meters deep and 2.5 kilometers long. The water of the Baofeng Lake is absolutely clean and without pollution, as it is an alpine lake. Looking down from the hills, the lake is like a Jade surrounded in the mountains. The well-known television series “a Journey to the West” (first version) was filmed here at Qifeng Waterfall.

There are the two islands in the lake, with peaks standing inshore. Sailing to the center island on the green lake, boarding on the lakeshore for a visit to the stockade Yingwozhai is an agreeable experience for tourists. The shape of the lake is a square, with a length of 2.5 kilometers and a width ranged from 200 to 1000 meters. The lake is like a mirror, surrounded by mountains, which is a really spectacular view. Sitting on the boat, looking at mountains around, and overlooking the mountains’ reflection on the lake is an amazing experience. The lake is very quiet, utterly beautiful!

The Korean drama "Cave of Nine Skylights" was shot at Baofeng Lake. Roaming in the lake, you have the chance to witness some beautiful scenery on the center island, such as "Fairy Looking in the Mirror", "High Peaks and Flat Lake", and "Toad Eating the Moon". Yingwozhai is a wonderful view in Baofeng Lake. The ancient Baofeng Temple was built there; it is a mysterious place for the devout men and women. A Thread of Skyis a major view of Baofeng Park. The canyon is 200 meters long, 100 meters high, and the average width is less than two meters. There is a brook in the canyon, circling around the stones. There are a series of attractions along this tour route, and the famous Yingwozhai is located on a cliff southwest to BaoFeng Lake. Early on, it was the famous bandit stockade, and TV drama "Oolong Mountain Bandits" was filmed here.
