Hazret Sultan Mosque

Construction of the cathedral mosque "Hazret Sultan" started in June 2009. It is considered as the second largest mosque in Central Asia.

The mosque was constructed in classical Islamic style with traditional Kazakh ornaments. Conveniently located on the right bank of the Yesil River the Mosque is across from to the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation and the monument "Kazakh Eli". It can accommodate five thousand worshipers during normal times, and on holidays up to 10 thousand people.
