The Spain Square (Plaza de España) is a landmark building in Sevilla and an epitome of the Renaissance/neo-Moorish style, located on the edge of the Maria Luisa Park (Parque de María Luisa). Designed by the architect of Sevilla---Aníbal González, the park is a semi-circular square with its diameter being 200 meters, surrounded by three great buildings. Travelers can enter the square by crossing the beautiful bridges over the moat, and there is also a great fountain in the square.
Today, standing around the square are mainly government buildings. In the walls of the square are lots of niches, which represent different provinces of Spain. Tourists can take away the photos that represent the provinces. In the square, you may also see the different styles of buildings of Spain, including Gothic, Moorish and Silversmith style buildings.
Getting there: Take Bus 34 or Loop Line C1 to Avda. María Luisa (Teatro Lope de Vega), or take Loop Line C2 to Avenida María Luisa(La Raza), and then walk.
