Plaza Independencia

Plaza Independencia is the most important square of this country.Here you can find the statue of Artigas, the Founding Father or Uruguay. Under the square is his tomb. Many people come to visit and ponder on the past. There are huge crowds of people in the square including children who are feeding the pigeons, tourists that are taking pictures, which makes a peaceful atmosphere.
