The Al-Hakim Mosque is the biggest reserved mosque of the Fatimid Dynasty in Cairo. It was ordered to be built by the sixth Caliph of the Fatimid Dynasty in 990 B.C. he disappeared with specific reason at the age of 36, ending his rule of the dynasty. From then on, the mosque was used as a storage and primary school until 1980. The most special characteristic of the mosque is its minarets-the most ancient “remained” architecture among the many minarets in Cairo. The front door, built in Islamic style, is full of the Ancient Egyptian architecture style.
